The Story of GCHS Winterguard
Gallatin County High School Winterguard is a competitive performing arts ensemble that combines dance, movement, equipment performance, and visual storytelling. Members develop skills in teamwork, discipline, confidence, and creativity while representing both Gallatin County High School and the local community.
Participation is open to students in grades 8 through 12, providing opportunities for performers of all experience levels to grow and succeed both on and off the floor.
The Gallatin County High School Winterguard program got its start in the early 2010s with the help of Kathy Brown, a dedicated parent volunteer whose passion and commitment helped build the program from the ground up.
Since then, the GCHS Winterguard has grown into a thriving program that gives students the opportunity to develop performance skills, build confidence, become leaders, and create lasting friendships through the performing arts.
GCHS Winterguard competes as a member of Tri-State Marching Arts, participating in competitions throughout the season alongside other scholastic programs from across the region.
Our performers are encouraged to grow as athletes, artists, and teammates through hard work, collaboration, and a commitment to getting better every day.
Today, our team of approximately 12 members continues to learn, grow, and succeed together, both as performers and as leaders within the program.
Through performances, competitions, and community involvement, our members build meaningful experiences while proudly representing Gallatin County High School and the Winterguard program.
Gallatin County High School Winterguard is committed to fostering a love for the performing arts while encouraging teamwork, dedication, and creativity. We strive to create a welcoming environment where every member has the opportunity to grow, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
Through hard work and dedication, we strive to represent our school and community with pride in everything we do. Our goal is to help students grow as performers, teammates, and leaders while building a strong foundation for future generations of Gallatin County Winterguard.
